Nels Cline - Consentrik Quartet  (2LP VINYL)
 
Wilco guitarist and longtime acclaimed sonci explorer Nels Cline releases his new album alonsde his newest band which features Ingrid Laubrock on saxophones, Chris Lightcap on bass & Tom Rainey on drums.  
 
'It's the first appearance of a document of my own music since fall of 2020. Consentrik Quartet is the name of the band, and it's the combo I have been playing with as often as possible these last 5 years or so. As seems to happen in my lucky life, I am surrounded by marvelous, monstrous musical talent and vision: . This spelling of 'consentrik' comes from the Middle English, and I am charmed by the inclusion of the word 'consent' within it (as improvisers, it's a beautiful thing) and the 'K' at the end (which just looks kind of badass!). It's the name of the combo and the name of the record, and it will be released in double vinyl, single compact disc, and streaming formats. I hope you dig it!
