There seems to be a wealth of live music around at the moment that I'm either missing or just don't hear of until the tour van has been packed and the band are halfway up the M23! So, I'm determined to nail down a few and get myself along to enjoy what's on offer. On Friday 28th destination Rose Hill Tavern in Brighton to catch the wonderful Ben Chasny (Six Organs Of Admittance) playing a rare UK show alongside fellow guitar explorer, Chicago based Bill MacKay. The day after it's off to the Green Door Store to see UNION allumini Danny Wilson lead his Champions Of The World through their paces. If you haven't seen them you must, for my money one fo the finest live bands in the UK!! And then as if that wasn't enough aural fulfillment in April the mighty free jazz warrior John Butcher brings his trio to systematically take apart the Rose Hill brick by brick before rebuilding it as some abstract monolithic structure. That's gotta be worth a tenner of anyone's hard earned, surely? See you on the road folks...
